In addition to internal groups, implementation will target the following external bodies.
From the scientific world
- Scientists, engineers, humanists and social scientists
- The SCNAT, SATW and SAGW academies
- Organisations with close ties to the scientific world, such as foundations
- Research institutions and individual scientists abroad
Users from the political and real worlds
State and private institutions in the spatial planning, town planning, construction, utilities, waste management, transport, environmental and sociological fields, etc., which need scientifically-based findings and can use these in their work.
- Confederation agencies: A parallel Federal Administration group (headed by Pierre-Alain Rumley, Director of the ARE, member of the NRP 54 Steering Committee), which works as a conduit to the various agencies and offices of the Confederation. The group defines the federal agencies' needs and feeds information from the NRP to them.
- Cantonal agencies
- Political and administrative decision-makers at federal, cantonal and municipal levels
Stakeholder groups which see research activities as providing supporting arguments for their concerns.
- Associations
- NGOs (the Energiestiftung energy foundation, environmental conservation, traffic and transport organisations, etc.)
- Advisory offices
- Companies (planning, engineering, architecture, construction, transport, waste management, energy consulting, etc.)
Media and the public
- Specialist media
- Association media
- Specific journalist groups
- Popular media (print and electronic)
Only selected activities are aimed at the general public. These might include exhibitions or other special events, but not products that are issued as individual copies.
