The National Research Council then selected a Steering Committee and assigned it the elaboration of the Implementation plan.
January 22, 2003
The Federal Council approves the launch of the National Research Programme 54 (NRP 54) "Sustainable Development of the Built Environment" and mandates the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) with its implementation. A total sum of CHF 13 million was allocated to NRP 54 for its five year duration.
